Our Range....

Echidna offers a range of high quality diamond rock-saws, to yield maximum productivity and to harness all the power available from your host machine (eg excavator, backhoe, sid steer etc)

The selection guide below will assist you in choosing the right saw for your job and your machine.

The range of blade sizes indicated will give optimal performance, however, it may be possible to use blades with size outside the indicated range.

Similarly, the range of excavator sizes is given to provide optimal performance. A large saw on a small excavator can be used, however caution should be exercised whin operating a small saw on a large excavator as the saw may be damaged by excessive hydraulic flow or pressure.

Please refer to our product specifications or contact us for further information.

Features and Advantages of Echidna Diamond Blade Saws

Feature
Benefit Which means...
Compact Size
Smaller blade to achieve same cutting depth
Ease of use and handling, affordable parts
Short body length
Possibility of deeper and narrower cut
Deep and narrow trenches can be cut
Strong and light construction
light weight
Less strain on excavator, better cut alignment, i.e. sustantially longer blade lilfe
No need for case drain
Extra lines on excavator not necessary
Saving on installation cost and complexity
Rotating stand
Easy regripping for alternate cutting side => better access to machine
No need to travel with excavator around tha saw, quck side reversal, i.e. higher productivity.
Single or twin blade configuration
Single cut or two parallel cuts for trenching
More versatility, significantly increased productivity for trenching operations
Dynamic brake
Blade stops almost instantly when power is cut
Safer work area
Bi-directional cutting
Control over direction of rotation, irrespective of which way saw is attached
Control over spray direction eg in open areas direct the spray away from the cabid to optimise visibility, while in built up areas, reverse the direction to avoid damage to nearby buildings/objects
Fast blade rotation
Maximises cutting efficiency
Lower cutting costs, higher productivity
High quality blades and cutting stones Greater productivity and longevity Blades replaced less often, lower cost per cut
Independent bearing set Stronger structure, no load on motor shaft motor bearings do not support any load, less chance of motor bearing failure, higher reliability, lowr servicing cost
Water nozzle Effective blade cooling
More productive use of labour, lower blade wear
In-built motor and oil cooler - optional Minimises fatigue in hydraulic system
Longer hours in heavy duty applications and/or hotter climates
Motor speed sensor - hydraulic - optional Allows for accurate adjustment to power and flow
Even greater efficiency and effectiveness in cutting
Hydraulic test points Allows for in-field problem solving Effective problem solving, less down time
Servicability Good access to all parts that need servicing, leaving sealed section uncompromised
Machine easily serviced for optimum performance and minimum down time
